ChainedUp 1 : Weekend irons

I had a four day weekend with the house all to myself.
So I thought: “Why not spend most of the weekend in irons and chains?!”

I woke up that friday and dressed myself in my BDU's and speed lace combat boots. And I went to the store for some supplies that I would need for my very special weekend.

I own a good collection of

  • handcuffs
  • legcuffs
  • a number of steel irons with hex key locks
  • a collar with attached cuffs
  • an iron belt with attached cuffs
  • 2 sets of leg irons, and
  • as good as 25 to 30 feet of chain

so I thought “Why not see what trouble I can get into …”.

I started off with a full body chain.

I used different lengths of chain and I used ‘splitlinks’ to secure the upper and lower parts of my body, starting with my knees and ankles.

I wrapped chains under and above each knee and secured the chains with splitlinks. Between my knees I had a space of about 10 inches.

Attached to the kneechains was a length of chain that went down to my ankles, secured in the same way.

I had about 14 inches of chain between my ankles and the chain that came down from my knees was secured in the middle of this chain.

Around my middle I used a length of chain of about 10 to 12 feet. From the centerpoint I wrapped the equal ends of the chain around my thighs and secured them in place with a splitlink.

Next I crossed the chains to each knee and around each knee and secured the chains with another splitlink. To the lower part under my knees I did the same.
I then took the lengths that were left, wrapped them around each ankle and secured the loose ends to the ankles.

At this point I probably was wearing a good 15 to 20 pounds of chain.

I then started securing the upper body ...

Once again I took a length of chain. This one was about 6 feet long. I found the center of it and wrapped it around my neck. Not tight but secured with a splitlink.  Before this one was put in place, I had placed a length of chain that went down my back and secured it to the chain around my waist.

I then placed a length of chain that secured my upper arms. Just as all the previous connections this chain was held in place above the elbows with splitlinks. The chain went around my back so i could not move my upper arms more than 6 inches forward.

Next came the securing of the chain from my neck to the upper arms and then to my waist and then to the chain that secured my wrists.
I was now secured from my neck all the way down to my ankles. I could move around a bit. But mounting stairs should be done very carefully. I could shuffle around but all my movements were very very limited.

So now that had gotten myself in a fullchain bodyharness, I wal about ready to ADD the steel collar with attached cuffs and ADD a set of steel leg irons. Both irons have a hex key lock in the collar, the handcuffs and legirons. Locking all locks  took a little bit of work as I didn't have a whole lot of room to ‘work’.

And more …

I then placed five padlocks. I was about to spend 6 hours, just to experience if I could take a chaining of this type!

The first padlock was placed just above my ankles connecting the leg irons to the other lenghts of chain that were secured around my ankles.

The next one was placed where the chains crossed over between my knees and the ankles followed by the same cross over that was between my knees and my thighs.

The next two locks were for my upper body and they were placed between my upper arms on the chain from the collar and the attached cuff and then to the chain that was between my wrists and the waist chain.

Things were now set for my SIX HOURS in chains!

I glanced at the clock just to see when I would be removing the padlocks an was suprised at the time. I had already ‘used’ almost 3 hours to getting to this point!

So at the end of the 6 hours I would have spent a total of nine or more hours confined.

At the end of the 6 hours I had to make my way to my bedroom for the keys of the padlocks.

This ment that I was going to need to climb the stairs in the house. I had just enough room to move my legs up to make the transit from one stair to the next one so I had to be very carefull going up them.

After reaching the keys and removing the padlocks and the irons …

I leaned back on the bed thinking “Now I have to go back downstairs because that is where the boltcutter is … “

The only way to remove the split links was to cut through them.

I now had been chained up for a good 12 hours an was a bit exhausted.

So I thought “Lets take a nap before going downstairs to remove the chains and the split links …”.

FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND …

I woke up about 5 hours later and thought: “Its going to take me about 2 hours to remove all the splitlinks”. And as I was going to be putting them back on in a few hours I thought: “Lets just keep things this way for the rest of the weekend”.

And so …. thats how I started to spent THREE days in chains and irons …

To be continued!
