ChainedUp 2 : Almost caught
I had the weekend to myself so I decided to spend some time in chains or irons.

Things were a bit quiet in the neighbourhood. We still have the orchards behind us and in one of them the construction for a new house next to us started.
It is about 4 o’clock in the afternoon and I need to get ready for this evening, so I change into my BDU's and speed lace combat boots and I get out the chains, the plier and the splitlinks.

It will take me about 45 min to an hour to chain up as I am not going to be doing more then my legs and ankles.
I start with the knees and ankles as these are my main referencepoints for both sets of chains.
Then I continue with a chain from my thighs to my crotch. The next length of chain wil start in the middle of that chain and will be held in place with splitlinks from my thighs down to my ankles.
I wrap my upper and my lower knees starting at my thighs. I guide the chain from the top around from front to behind and the back to the front. This is repeated all the way down to my ankles. Then what is left goes from ankle to ankle.
So when this is done I have about 18 inches of chain secured around my ankles. I can walk ok, but if I would have to run there is no way to do so. When I would try to run, my feet would get caught in the chain between my ankles.
The time now is about 6 pm and it will be a good six hours till midnight, when I want to start my 'evening walk'. So a short nap would be in order ... And after adding three pairs of handcuffs to my wrisst I lean back for a short nap.
It is now about ten in the evening and I am getting eager to head out.
But I still have two hours till midnight so after removing the handcuffs I decide to add a lenght of chain between my wrists.
I use two splitlinks to secure the chain on both wrists so now I am set and I just have to wait till midnight ...

Its time.
I returned home but ...
I was almost caught!
I'll tell you what happened ...
"I thought I would first head on over to the construction site to see how much they had done.
So I went out the backgate and started to head over there. It took me a bit of time because the ground was very uneven and I slipped down more then once. Once I got there I could see that they were starting to put in the under ground ultilies. This meant there would be also some muddy spots.
I could see some of these had standing water in them so you could not tell how deep the mud might be.
So I went to check them out. The first ones were not very deep so I went over to some of the other ones and these were a lot deeper. I had gone from just getting the soles of my boots muddy to ankle deep and it was getting deeper as I started to walk out. I knew that I needed to get out and do it quickly ... before I was deeper then the tops of my boots. Because then I would not have any leverage for lifting my feet up and this mud was very sticky ...
It took me awhile before I got out and now my trip back would leave tracks ...
So I went looking for a real dry spot of ground so I could rub loose the dirt that was all over my boots to get rid of most of the mud so that I would not leave any clumps as I went on the way home.
When I got out of the construction site and was about to work my way past the old nursery that had become a bunch of broken potting benchs and not much else, ... I spotted a police cruiser up the street!
So I dashed so to speak - chains rattling - and crawled under the closest bench and laid down on my belly trying to become part of the ground, hoping that I had not been seen. I was lucky he had seen movement and not me but he still paned his cruiser search light across the whole property twice before he turned it off and headed down the street.
I waited a good 15 min after his taillights passed around the corner.
I then crawled out from my hiding place and made it over to the back gate as quickly as I could. Just after I had the gate closed I saw the headlights pointing straight away into the nursery and the spot light sweeping the whole area ...
Thank goodness I had moved in time, because after he had bathed the whole area in light, he got out of his cruiser and started walking around the area with his flashlight! So not to draw his attention my way I stayed where I was close to the gate. This was so that my chains could not be heard. I stayed that way for what seemed like an hour, but I knew that it was only about 15 minutes. After he got back in his cruiser and pulled out of the nursery I felt I could move and could start removing the chains.
I took a quick look at the clock in the house an it was showing 4 am.
I had spent a total of 12 hours in chains."
